GospelLight Tracts and Liturature by Pastor Randall Klynsma Here are several tracts that I have written and revised over the years. I am posting these on my website so that they can be read and if someone wants they are welcome to modify and use them as they will. Each of these are designed to be printed and copied on 8 1/2 by 11 inch paper. My newest tract is about worship. In today's world and in particular in today's churches there is a great deal of confusion of just what worship is and of what it consists. Many people seem to thing that singing "worship songs" is the "spiritual" part of worship. The Scripture reading and sermon are seen as boring and are often limited to as short a time as possible. This approach places great emphasis on personal experience and feelings. The reality is that worship as a whole is entering into the presence of God. We draw near to Him and He draws near to us. Central to worship is God, not us. It's about our humbling ourselves and drawing near to the Living God. This is why the preaching and teaching of the Word is at the heart of worship. We are listening to the Word of God, which Hebrews 4:12 says, "is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword." In order for the Word to have its intended affect, we have to listen to and do what it says. The following tract both reviews some of these basic principles and then lists the elements that compose a typical worship service here at Trinity Orthodox Presbyterian Church. "Do You Know How God Wants Us to Worship?" This next tract is a straight forward presentation of the gospel. The Apostle Paul says in II Corinthians 4 that we as gospel preachers, "we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness no handling the Word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience." If people are going to be converted, it will be because they have been told the truth and the Holy Spirit has born witness in there hearts. It begins with one of the Evangelism Explosion questions of what will happen after you die. It can be read by clicking the html link. OR if you'd like to download it to Microsoft Word, click the second link. Read Online: Basic Gospel Tract Word Version: Basic Gospel Tract. The next tract is the tract I've written most recently. It was actually conceived for the local spiritual climate of the community where I now serve, but I'm sure it is pretty typical to the spiritual conditions that are pretty common everywhere. It approaches our need for the gospel from the angle of purpose and meaning of life. It is entitled, "Do You Know What God Expects from You?" I believe years 4 and after are the most productive for the spiritual life of the congregation. I believe your credibility within the community also increases. They know who you are and to a degree what you are about. The following tract is one that I use to introduce myself people that are new or who I suspect are not connected to any church. It is titled, "A Letter from the Pastor." It takes a long term approach to ministry. Maybe you don't think you need my services now, but I'm pretty sure that some time in the future you will. I generally include a business card and suggest they put it somewhere they can find it. Supposition: Life without God and obedience to his Word will result in troubles and trials. It is 1/2 of a single 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of paper. The artwork is nothing fancy, but works well enough. I've thought about pasting a silhouetted picture of the church but haven't got that far yet. Maybe some day. Read Online: Intro to Trinity OPC Word Version: Intro to Trinity OPC |
