Dear
Friends and Neighbors:
Have
you ever had spiritual questions or needs and weren't sure who to call? Or perhaps you've been challenged in your
beliefs by the Mormons or Jehovah's Witnesses or tel-evangelist? Well, I would like to make myself available
to you.
My
name is Randy Klynsma and I am the pastor of the Trinity Presbyterian Church of Bridgewater. I live in
There
are lots of people who consider themselves Christians but don't often attend to
a local church and thus don't have a pastor or minister to whom they can turn
or call in time of need. Others have
moved to town in the last few years and haven't gotten into the routine of
church attendance and worship.
Regardless of your situation
or religious background, I am willing to become “your pastor." I'm not looking for anything in return nor
would you be required to attend our worship services (though you would be most
welcome). If nothing else, you will at
least know someone you can call on if the need arises.
As
I see it, there are several ways in which I could be of assistance to you. I can:
1.
Answer
most questions you might have about the Bible or Christian doctrine.
2.
Provide
resources and a defense of historic Christianity when your convictions are
shaken other religious groups or the circumstances of life.
3.
Offer
instruction classes on morality (the Ten Commandments) and the Bible, as many
schools don't clearly teach our children right and wrong or spiritual
truths.
4.
Provide
Counseling in times of Crisis. If you
have a sick or injured family member who needs pastoral attention, I would be willing
to do what I can. Perhaps I could help
with marital conflict and counseling, discouragement, death of a family member,
or even family finances.
5.
Offer
you and your family a place to worship with others who believe the Bible is the
Word of God the only true source for spiritual truth. Our congregation meets for worship on Sundays at 9:30 AM and 6:00 PM (4:00 PM
Oct.-Mar.), with Sunday School following the morning service.
In short, if I can be of any
assistance to you or your family (either now or in the future) don't hesitate
to call. You may want to put this letter
and/or business card where you can find it in the future.
Our
congregation holds to the faith of the Holy Bible that was "once for all
delivered to the saints" (Jude 3).
In our worship and doctrine, we will not add to nor take away from the
words of Scripture. We believe that the
Bible is the revelation of God’s will and teaches us everything we need to know
for salvation.
The
purpose of our existence as individuals and as a congregation is to bring glory
to God. If worship is absent from our
lives, we are neglecting the central part of our existence. God has given life and breath to all
creatures and offers sinners (everyone) spiritual life through the gospel of
Salvation.
Have
you considered your spiritual status before the Lord. Have you experienced the joy of
forgiveness? Are you living for yourself
or for the Lord? He calls all men everywhere
to repent of their sins and believe (Acts 17:30). Have you heard and heeded his call?
If you have any questions or
would like to receive some information about our church give me a call or stop
by and I will give some to you. May the
Lord bless and keep you all.
